Maintenance
To ensure that effective slip-resistance and optimum step edge definition is maintained, tread inserts and riser strips must be cleaned at least once a week.
Composition pvc inserts require particular scrubbing as the nature of the material is more easily marked than carborundum. The mechanically abraded surface of pvc inserts, which is necessary for providing slip-resistance, also readily retains dirt. For minimal maintenance, carborundum inserts are recommended.
"For best cleaning results scrub with a solution of proprietary floor cleaner and warm water. Difficult to remove marks may require extra scrubbing using a cream cleaner or similar."

After cleaning, remove any excess water and allow the nosings/treads to fully dry before permitting pedestrian access.
If the aluminium profile requires buffing, the best results are obtained from using a fine grade (000 gauge) steel wool.
Do not use waxes or polishing media that may compromise slip resistance.
